Hello and welcome to Parkes High School Year 8. My name is Skye McLachlan and I will be your Year Advisor throughout your schooling at Parkes High School.
You can find me in the English Staffroom, downstairs in B Block, next to B12.
My role as Year Advisor is to introduce you to the school, help you settle in and answer your questions. This might include, helping you read your timetable or find your classroom. I am also here to help if you are worried about something or just want to have a chat.
Throughout the year I read your reports and keep an eye on how you settle in. I am a contact person if your parents or carers need to know how you choose your electives subjects for Years 9 and 11 or if they want to know how you are progressing.
Our goal is to make you as happy and safe at Parkes High School as possible. That way you can do your best and enjoy your time with us.
