Internet Edge and BYOD

On Friday 22.11.19 a new internet service will be installed at our school.  This will impact the way Bring Your own Device (BYOD) computers and non-Windows will access the Internet.

Why is DoE introducing this new internet service?

This new internet service will:

  • boost schools’ internet capacity and performance
  • better cater to schools’ constantly evolving IT-enabled learning initiatives
  • help protect schools from cyber threats.

Year 10 students take part in the Careers Work Experience Program

Work Experience: During Term 2 a number of Year 10 students undertook the first block of Work Experience for 2019. I would like to thank the various employers and businesses who supported our students with this valuable program. Parkes Public School, Parkes East, Middleton Public, Pink Orchid Florist, Parkes Diagnostic Imaging, CSIRO Telescope, La Bella Beauty & Spa, Inline Panel & Paint, Kinsela’s Motorcycles, Parkes Early Childhood and Tuned Suspension.

HSC Minimum Standard Testing will be held 11 - 28 June 2019

HSC Minimum Standard testing information

You need reading, writing and maths skills for everyday life after school. This why you are required to demonstrate a minimum standard of literacy and numeracy to receive the Higher School Certificate (HSC) from 2020.

Year 10 students will sit their Minimum Standard tests during selected periods between 11 - 28 June 2019.
