Parents are required to explain the absences of their children from school promptly and within seven school days to the school. A note or phone call is expected with following details:
- student name
- Year/ roll call
- date and reason for absence
- signed by parent/carer.

Please note: absences must be explained within 7 days or they will remain as unjustified as per Department of Education and Communities guidelines.
