Year 12
Message from our Year 12 year advisor
Hello and welcome to Parkes High School Year 12. My name is Tayla Clarke and I am your Year Advisor while you are at Parkes High School
You can find me in the English Staffroom, downstairs in B Block, next to B13.
Throughout the year I read your reports and keep and eye on how you have settled in. I am a contact person if your parents and carers need to know how you are progressing in your senior year.
My goal is to make you as happy and safe at Parkes High School as possible, that way you can do your best and enjoy your time with us.
I look forward to getting to know all of you, watching you succeed and enjoy your final year together.
Year 12 information
The website contains tips for time management, note-taking, wellbeing and extended research, as well as providing a list of apps that may be useful for students. Forms are downloadable so students can create their own timetables and calendars.
The expectations for students in timetabled study groups are outlined on the homepage. In 2019, all study lessons will be timetabled into the Green section of the Library, which has been redesigned to optimise quiet study and small-group learning.
The website will be a living document, so suggestions from students, teachers and parents are welcome. Please encourage your child, especially if they are studying for the HSC, to utilise the resources we have gathered for the site.
A new website to complement our senior study program, Ten Percent On Top (TPOT), is now online.

NESA has released the HSC Examination timetable/schedule.
Exams will begin on 16 October and finish on 7 November - 2025
While a student is enrolled in a NSW Public School, they are allocated user credentials that provide them with access to email, student portal, Google G Suite and Microsoft Office 365. They can access these services for free both while at school and from home - or anywhere else.
BUT WHAT HAPPENS WHEN THEY LEAVE?
Students have 180 days before they lose access to:
- Their school email account (GMail)
- Their Google Drive contents
- Any Google Classrooms they were joined to
- Their Microsoft OneDrive contents
- Any Microsoft Teams they were a member of
So, from the time that they leave, they have 180 days to check all their content/files in these school-provided services and download anything that they need to keep. There is no need to delete what they do not wish to keep. Anything left in their cloud repositories after the 180 days will no longer be accessible to them.
